This presentation by researcher and peace campaigner Paul Mobbs looks at how Britain directly supports America’s policy on covert war in North Africa and the Middle East, and is instrumental to targeted killings which are illegal under international law.

Drones, surveillance and ‘network centric warfare’ are the new big things in military research and operations. The British government wants to be centre stage in this new industry. From Cambridgeshire to Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire, new facilities are being operated to support this new, largely ‘hidden’ public policy – even though many of the operations involved are alleged, or have been ruled to be unlawful in Britain.

When challenged the Government has a single response – they have no information or knowledge about unlawful US military operations within Britain.
