Anti – Trident Groups Say Cameron Wrong, N Korea Nukes not Threat to UK; Scrap Trident Coalition to Demonstrate 13 – 15 April

As David Cameron visited Faslane Naval Base today and announced the nuclear threat has “increased since the Cold War” the broad based Scrap Trident Coalition [1] argued his remarks were ludicrous scaremongering and called for investment in green jobs and human services instead of immoral and wasteful nuclear weapons.

Activists held a Scrap Trident banner at the North Gate of Faslane as the Prime Minister visited Victorious, one of the Vanguard class submarines which carries up to 40 Trident nuclear weapons each 8-10 times the destructive force of the Hiroshima bomb.

Wales Peace Protestors to Join Easter Monday AWE Aldermaston Demonstration

55 years after the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament’s first London to Aldermaston march in Easter 1958, CND Cymru will be joining others from all over Britain in returning to Aldermaston Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE) – Britain’s nuclear bomb factory on Monday 1st April (12 noon – 2pm).
